When visiting Iguazu we definitely recommend staying on the Argentinean side. It has a much nicer atmosphere and some great hostels to compliment one of the highlights of your Brazilian vacation.
This lovely little hostel is a great deal for travelers on a budget! Quiet and well-run by extremely helpful and friendly staff, and located only three blocks from the bus station and the centre of Puerto Iguazú, on a quiet residential street. The rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious, all include air conditioning (very necessary, especially in the summer when temperatures reach well over 40˚C), private ensuite with hot water, and own patio with table and chairs facing a common courtyard. Good breakfast included and served to your table; internet, lounge area, courtyard with hammocks, kitchen, and travel desk all available for guest use. The staff go out of their way to help you organize your visit to both sides of the falls and make your stay here enjoyable. We even got a free room upgrade!

One of the best values in hostels in Foz or Puerto Iguazú! Good combination of great prices, great location, great staff and great facilities for the backpacker on a budget! Located just two blocks from the Puerto Iguazú bus station and a few more to the centre of town. Rooms are for one to four people and include private ensuite with hot water, and air conditioning. The swimming pool and courtyard are the perfect place to cool off and relax after a long, hot day at the falls. Breakfast included. Internet access, travel desk, bar, kitchen, BBQ, TV room with DVDs and music, book exchange and transfers available for guests.
