Though there are not huge amounts of hostels on Ilha Grande, the beautiful locations and views make staying almost anywhere here the highlight of a Brazilian vacation. The Island can be hard to get around for Brazil, but rest assured the locals are more than willing to help you get to your next destination from your hostel, be it an Ilha Grande restaurant, or something as far away as Iguazu Falls.

The perfect place for the backpacker on a budget, looking to meet other travelers and have some fun! Great location in Vila do Abraão town, but fronting onto the sea, with a spectacular deck overlooking the turquoise waters. The hostel offers activities, including water sports and organized activities, and hosts great group dinners for a reasonable price. Accommodation varies from dorms, which can be a tad cramped, to doubles with private ensuite. Some rooms have fans, others air conditioning, depending on the category of room chosen. Great breakfast included; groups meals, bar, travel desk, internet, and TV room with DVDs available.
