This is not the place to look for pumping electronic beats and massive clubs. Ilhe Grande is a relaxation and activities paradise with lots of places to get a cold chopp (light beer) after a long day at beach, but not so much in the way of dance clubs.
The cheapest nightlife in town are the classic Brazilian barracas serving every kind of caipirinha and caipiroska imaginable! So grab some fellow travelers and head down to the barracas to sip on some delicious caipirinhas while mingling in the streets with locals and travelers alike. If you get bored of chopp this is the place to come and you’ll get delicious fruit drinks you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
Looking for an authentically Brazilian night out? Head down to this bar that plays Brazilian Forró and try your hand at some fancy foot work. It’s not too tough to get the hang of it, and even if you don’t succeed, you’re sure to have a blast trying! If you are traveling Brazil, you have to try out some authentic Brazilian dancing and this is a great place to do it!
Ilha Grande isn’t known for its nightlife – it has more of a laid-back, relaxing type of vibe, and the best place for this kind of low-key nightlife is in the main square of Vila do Abrãao. Chill out with a cold chopp and some friends or fellow travelers in a little pub or restaurant, listen to some Brazilian music and watch the world go by until the wee hours of the morning. This is about as close as it gets to raging nightlife here on Ilha Grande, and we wouldn’t change that!
